It’s no news that fires in Australia are still burning, with countless volunteers, firefighters and more working endlessly to contain and end this disaster.

Over 5.9 million hectares (14.7 million acres) have been burned across Australia. To put that into perspective, that area is greater than Belgium and Haiti combined. The death toll has risen to 19 people and 500+ million animals have died.

Brands and businesses across Australia are offering to donate profits varying from 5% all the way to 100% to support charities involved.

See below ways you can donate, get involved and help raise funds to care for wildlife, support our volunteers and fire fighters and care for our bushfire victims.

  1. Book a Fashion, Hair or Makeup & Beauty workshop at The Masters Institute of Creative Education

  1. Sell your clothing! Or buy someone else’s.

Let’s face it. There’s always a few items in our wardrobes that are hidden away in perfect condition and begging to be worn again. Past student Faz came up with the genius idea to sell items from her wardrobe and in return, donate all the proceeds to raise money for the Australian bushfires. Keep an eye out on her Instagram @fazshukhrat for more info, or alternatively, do it yourself!

  1. Donate directly!

Whether you’ve raised money by selling your own items or simply want to donate, we recommend donating to the following:

Red Cross - Donations go towards supporting people in evacuation centres, recovery hubs and more. From January 6, they will also provide emergency grants to those who have lost their homes to bushfires. Find out more & donate here.

Salvation Army - Teams are providing meals to evacuees and frontline responders. Donations will help provide the crucial support needed. Find out more here.

New South Wales Rural Fire Service -  Donate and support your local NSW brigade. Donate here
