Having come from a bakery family, Vu’s passion for Barbering all started from cutting his two little boys’ hair. This love of Barbering kept growing until he finally made the decision to pursue his dream career and be a qualified Barber at 29.

Juggling work at the family business and studying three days a week, the fasttrack pathway was perfect for Vu to do it all at once! Hear it from Vu to know what it’s like to make the right career change.

What was your path to TM and why did you choose to study the SHB30516 Certificate III in Barbering?

I came from a bakery family, baking and running my family bakery business was my everyday job before changing my career path. Cutting hair was always something that I liked to do on my free times, I have two beautiful boys and the passion for becoming a barber all started from cutting my two little boys hair. By the age of 29 I really wanted to change my career to Barber and be qualified. I know T.M through my wife, she used to be a student there back in 2010. I signed up for the fasttrack pathway, which required me to study three days a week and I still had time to work at my family business.
