The Melbourne School of Fashion MST60119 Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Merchandising course will enable you to take your career in fashion to the next level. Study a combination of strategic business planning and design management practices that mix theory and practical study. During the course you will learn advanced pattern making, product development and design management systems along with undertaking projects that explore raneg planning, real life business proposals with industry clients and professional presentation strategies.
You will graduate with a fully realised collection and accompanying business plan, ready to showcase to potential employers. You will also show your entire collection in a Melbourne School of Fashion graduate runway showcasing your work to the industry.
Students will also have the opportunity to present their collection to Melbourne Fashion Week for the chance to showcase on the emerging designer runway. FashionMasters students have been selected as finalists for the Emerging Designer Award for the past three years running!

Industry Facing Skill Set
Through an in-depth final year, develop a full collection and accompanying business plan that demonstrates your specific creative vision. This final year course sees students undertake personalised study planning to accomplish a six-piece collection that works within current fashion mindsets and commercial marketplace trends.
The MST60119 Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Merchandising builds upon the skills learnt in previous years and can be taken directly after course completion or at a later stage when you are ready and have some work experience under your belt.
