Introduction to Fashion Styling

12 WEEKS | Thursday Evenings | 6-9PM | March 22 - July 1

If you are an aspiring stylist and would like to build up your technique and sharpen your skills, this course is for you!

This course introduces the role of a stylist and the different areas a stylist can be involved in, including main fashion and flatlay photo shoots for fashion & homewares, coordinating fashion shows, wardrobe styling for television or film and personal wardrobe styling.

A stylist develops and implements total concept styling and creative direction decisions designed to present a topic, personality or event to best advantage within a very particular cultural frame of reference. Styling governs the look, feel, appeal or ambience of a visually orientated experience that is specifically designed for a target audience. A stylist would work in conjunction with a marketing and art department to bring an idea to life predominantly with an advertising / promotional outcome.

You will participate in practical hands-on activities including working with mood boards and organising a photo shoot.
